Job Description

To start with, the position of Regional Buyer Cross-Sell Food sits comfortably in the Procurement organization. An incredibly diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. As a Regional Buyer Cross-Sell you will be asked to source cross-sell items for our JDE Coffee Solutions organization and deliver the Value through the most competitive cost and cash supply base. For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:

  • Co-create and execute sourcing strategies for European region with focus on cost efficiency, supply security, quality, sustainability and innovations
  • Ensure an integral supply chain of finished goods (paper cups, crockery, disposables) for Professional business
  • Establish and maintain day to day working relationship with various internal stakeholders on regional and  local sales unit level
  • Collaborate with suppliers on a day-to-day basis, manage and improve key suppliers’ performance, support NPDs to deliver (non-) financial benefits
  • Drive Responsible sourcing and Sustainability agenda in line with latest developments on the market and in legislation 
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
  • This role involves 20 - 30% travel

Qualifications

We are looking for a proactive and entrepreneurial procurement professional with a drive for excellence. Someone that holds themselves accountable and doesn’t shy away from responsibility. Given the nature of the role we feel it's important for you to have a certain level of knowledge and experience in out of home coffee business  as well as a solid understanding of your own added value. We thrive in diverse teams and look for people that appreciate that as much as we do. We can give you a list of “must haves,” however that’s not how we view your candidacy. We do, of course, take into consideration how much experience you have with coffee equipment and cross-sell products but ultimately, we look at the bigger picture. But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:

  • A Bachelor or Master’s degree
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in out of home coffee business and/or Procurement
  • An excellent track record of delivering complex projects and service improvement activities
  • A solid track record of delivering “best in class cost and cash results” would be an advantage
  • Ability to work under pressure, high level of stress resistance
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • The ability to thrive with ambiguity and change
